Prosthodontics
Prosthodontics is also called dental denture. Restoration undergoes special stages to stimulate teeth development and to replace transplanted teeth for missing, damaged or wounded ones. Common prosthetic techniques include dental bridges, crowns, fillings or implants. Getting along with implants will be specialized periodontics, gums and bone.
Depending on patients’ conditions and requirements in their dental care plans, specialized doctors will provide them with appropriate treatment plans. There are 2 basic prosthodontics:
- Fixed dental prosthesis: by using crowns – dental bridges (from porcelain, plastic or metal)
- Removable dentures: Also called dentures, replaced for missing teeth or all related teeth and gum tissues.
